Starry Nights Winter Farm Stays

Come out to the country in wintertime to enjoy beautiful snowy landscapes, or late sunrises, early sunsets, and slowww living. A winter weekend at Starry Nights gives you the opportunity to go skiing, tubing, snowshoeing, sledding, play in the snow, enjoy the small towns around us and just get away while coming back to your own, comfortable space with beautiful country views and sleep soundly surrounded by nature.
From the minute you drive up the half mile driveway we invite you to unplug, relax, and leave "busy life" behind.
What to do in a Winter Farmstay?
The Surrounding Area:
We are right in between Kenosha and Lake Geneva. Besides the above, the area has lots to offer and we encourage you to explore it if you have time!
Kenosha County Veterans Memorial Park- it is right neighboring our farm! has a lake and hiking trails that may be worth a visit for ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing or just hiking.
River Valley Ranch where you can stock up on seasonal produce and many local, farm fresh goods.
Grand Geneva Resort and Spa- Also has a ski hill, but the hotel has 3 good restaurants for a lovely meal or just a drink by the piano. Or relax and pamper yourself with an appointment at the Spa.
Tristan Crist Magic Show- in Lake Geneva. An amazing, 5-star, Vegas quality show that is fun for the whole family!
Cup O' Joe- Friends themed coffee shop in nearby Twin Lakes
There are LOTS more to explore, and we are happy to recommend upon request.
Accomodations:
You will stay at the lower level apartment of our PHIUS Certified House, Net zero energy, and green/healthy home. As part of our sustainability efforts through our regenerative and organic farming practices, we built our home using ICF (insulated concrete form) walls, triple pane windows, and an architectural energy modeling that optimizes the thermal envelope and energy conservation strategy.
Pricing:
*WEEKEND STAY - Regular rate $600 (Low Season Reduced Rate $425)
Friday 4pm check in and Sunday 11am check out.
*Rates are for the whole weekend and include cleaning, bed and bath linens, fully equipped kitchen, and all kitchenware you will need to prepare and serve meals. Taxes included and NO additional fees.
**Inquire if you would like to add Thursday or Sunday night to extend your visit for an additional $200/night. May be available during your weekend stay.
No smoking is permitted in the home. Children are welcome and encouraged to come. Pets are not permitted; thanks for your understanding!

What to do in a Winter Farmstay?
- Holidays in the Country- From a beautiful light display, a Gingerbread house walk, to brunch with Santa at the Grand Geneva Hotel, to a Holiday high tea at the historic Baker House, a Santa Cruise around Geneva Lake- Christmas in the Country is the BEST!
- Skiing and snowboarding- with Wilmot Mountain and Alpine Valley only a few miles away, come to the country for a ski weekend in Wisconsin.
- Tubing- not a skier, not a problem! Tubing is SO much fun at Wilmot Tubing mountain, only minutes away!
- Snowshoeing or cross country skiing- at Pringle Nature Center, with snowshoes available for rent
- Ice Castles- Visit the beautiful Ice Castles in Lake Geneva for a Winter Wonderland retreat!
- Ice Skating (and sledding and skiing too!) at Grand Geneva Resort
- Farm Tour- Guests may enjoy a farm tour on Saturday or Sunday morning (weather permitting) to see the cows on pasture, and pick up fresh eggs from the hens to cook your own farm fresh breakfast!
- Quality Family Time- play family games or build a puzzle together (we have a chest loaded with games and puzzles!), sit outside by the fire, read books, bundle up and go out for a walk, or just relax in the comfort of your warm, cozy apartment.

Policies:
There is no fee for cancellation if the cancellation is made 10 days or more before reservation date. A refund will be processed to original credit card used. If cancellation is made WITHIN the 10 day period prior to check-in, 50% will be refunded, unless we are able to rent it out (and we'll make every effort to do so!) and we can then refund the entire amount. Reservations made within 10 days are charged full amount and are non-refundable. |
